I found this quick, super easy idea awhile browsing Pinterest. Earlier this year I had converted some old slides of my parents trip to Italy in 1960 into photos and thought they would be perfect for this project. They were edited to become B&W. I purchased clear contact paper, copied the photos with a regular (non Laserjet) copier. The front of the photo was affixed to the contact paper and then thoroughly rubbed on the back of the photo to insure it stuck to the contact paper. They were then soaked in warm water for 7 minutes after which I carefully removed the paper under running water, leaving the B&W imprint on the contact paper. Don't rub too hard or the B&W print will also be removed. If you find remaining paper still adhered to the contact paper as it dries just run it under the water again and gently remove. The contact paper will become tacky again as it dries. In less than 1/2 an hour I affixed the photo to the dollar store candle holders, lit a votive and allowed the heat to continue the drying/adhesion process. Voila!!! They were a hit with my mom and my sisters. Idea: inspiredideasmag.blogspot.com
